About
Meet Marie
My name is Marie Ciavarella, and I have more than 20 years’ experience working alongside business leaders and other industry experts. I have always been fascinated by ambitious, competitive people who have made it to the top of their game. I thrive in their orbit and work best when I’m the person behind the person, helping leaders shine.
I am a natural observer, adept at deep listening and highly skilled at holding other people’s ideals, confidence and self-doubt so that they stay accountable to their goals. I ask intuitive, methodical and almost surgical questions to connect you to yourself and your work. I instinctively create a strong bond with leaders, using curiosity and courage to help my clients realize what is most important to them.

Before stepping out as an entrepreneur, I held leadership positions in healthcare consulting with The University of Chicago and in higher education. Strengthening leaders and enabling change, growth and performance in organizational culture are hallmarks of my career.
I have a Doctorate in Psychology. I have worked with executives at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management Executive Education and The Center for Creative Leadership. I have held academic affiliations with I/O Psychology programs at George Mason University and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. To benefit my clients, I leverage a variety of assessment tools, including the Hogan Assessments, for which I have advanced certification.
I live on Chicago’s beautiful North Shore, and in my off hours, I enjoy playing sports, spending time outdoors, and cheering on my twin daughters as they play water polo. (Yes, I do ask them to define their goals before each game.)
